For our designs and artwork, we use either KidPix or PowerPoint. Also, there are many different types of drawing programs online. Try these websites with your children. Please take time to assist your children when using the Internet.) http://sketchup.google.com/ , http://www.allmymagic.com/ , http://artpad.art.com/artpad/painter/

The toys will be donated to Project Self-Sufficiency’s Season of Hope Toy Drive. If you bring in toys, they have to be new and unwrapped. If you want to do something for those in need, bring in toys December 5th through the 9th. Thank you for your help and support!   ~ Samantha Givone, Treasurer ~

1st grade news: The first grade classes have enjoyed learning about the Pilgrims and Native Americans as it relates to the First Thanksgiving. The children made head pieces and enjoyed a Thanksgiving feast together. In class the children wrote stories comparing Thanksgiving then and now. We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!

4th Grade Language Arts News!: Have you ever heard of a frindle? Well, Stillwater School's 4th graders have! This terrific book, written by Andrew Clements, has grabbed their attention, especially the main character, Nick Allen. His word war over the word Frindle has taken the town by storm, and Mrs. Granger, the Language Arts teacher, is ready for battle! This teacher is crazy about dictionaries, and our 4th graders have become experts at using this reference tool while reading Frindle. Check out the hallway near Mrs. Makarevich’s room where students have created a wall of new words of their own! And if you want to know what a frindle is, just ask a 4th grader!

Staff Jeans Day: The staff at Stillwater School wore jeans today to donate to a fund to a Stillwater family who recently lost a loved one. They also donated food to the local food banks in the area churches.

School Is Closed
