Welcome to Mrs. Bessemer's Kindergarten Class!
"They may not remember what you said,
but they will always remember how you made them feel!"
Welcome to kindergarten! We will have a fun and exciting year learning lots of new things. We will have a different theme each week. Our Learning Centers and our reading and writing lessons will correspond with our weekly themes. We will have fun learning a letter a week and anticipating our weekly letter of the week snack. I will send home a newsletter every week to keep you informed about what goes on in our classroom. Kindergarten is a fun place to learn.
We use the Wilson Program for handwriting, the Rigby Program for reading and we are using a math program called Envision Math. The math program is being used by all the schools in the Kittatinny School District. I use these programs in conjunction with other activities that I have found to be successful in the classroom.
Please know that I am always available to talk with you. I feel that it is very important to have a good home/school connection. With this special connection, we will have a wonderful year! I look forward to teaching your children everyday. If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me or drop me a note in your child's red folder. The red folder should come to school everyday with your children. I check it every morning for bus notes and lunch money. Please remember to label all envelopes that you send in with your child's name and my name! Thank you in advance for all your help and I look forward to a wonderful school year!
